This is live, hands-on, instructor-led training.
While there is no required prerequisite, PenTest+ certification is intended to follow CompTIA Security+. Attendees should have Network+ and Security+ certifications or equivalent knowledge and experience with a technical, hands-on focus. This course includes an exam voucher ($404 value) for the authorized CompTIA PenTest+ certification exam.

PT0-002
The exam includes hands-on simulations as well as multiple choice questions, requiring test takers to perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessment job tasks during the exam. Additionally, the exam maps 100% to the NICE/NIST Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (NCWF) v2.0 Related Work Role of Vulnerability Assessment Analyst. This is used by the U.S. DoD for determining cybersecurity work roles.
Exam Provider
Pearson VUE is the authorized testing provider for CompTIA certification exams. Pearson VUE offers exams at their network of testing centers and online. Candidates schedule their exam directly with Pearson Vue. Once you pass the authorized exam, you will receive a digital badge for the certification. Anyone who views your badge can select it to learn about your skills and verify its authenticity.
Recertification / CompTIA CE Program
PenTest+ certification has globally-recognized ISO/ANSI accreditation status. As part of the accreditation requirements, certification expires every three years if not renewed. You can renew PenTest+ certification through the CompTIA CE Program which includes completing continuing education activities. If your certification is not renewed within the three years, your certification will expire and you will need to pass the current version of the exam to regain certification.
